Although we are doing schoolwork from home, and are unable to attend Mass for the next couple of weeks (see notice from Bishop Peter here) there are still many ways that we can embrace our faith from home.
  • We can watch Mass online, streamed live, or pre-recorded, from many different locations around the world. Here is a good source: https://www.wordonfire.org/daily-mass/
  • We can pray the stations of the cross together. Here is a good source: https://stations.wordonfire.org/stations-of-the-cross
  • And we can join the call to pray the rosary around the world, from Pope Francis. Read more here: https://angelusnews.com/news/vatican/pope-urges-catholics-to-unite-spiritually-in-praying-rosary-thursday/
Some other good resources that we can use any time to build our faith:

Coronavirus and how it affects our school

The Diocese of Boise has released a statement regarding procedures at Mass and how they are affected by the current situation with coronavirus. The local situation is being monitored by our Principal and Pastor and any changes to procedure will be communicated to families. To read the statement from the Diocese, click here.
As we continue through the school year, we would like to say thank you to the parents who keep their sick children home. This helps all students stay healthy. If your child is too sick for recess, they should stay home. Thank you for showing that you care about the entire Holy Rosary Community.
To help minimize the spread of any illness at school, we follow the recommendations of the CDC. According to the CDC, here are ways to protect against the coronavirus (and other illnesses).
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
This week, we reviewed hand washing procedures with every child at Holy Rosary School. Their homework was to show you the proper way to wash their hands. Thank you for keeping sick kids home and following our school 24 hour symptom-free policy. Keeping your children safe is a top priority.
