![]() Written by Deanne Slaughter With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we remember that the month of May is dedicated to honoring our universal mother, the Virgin Mary. Since we can’t have our traditional May Crowning ceremony at Mass next Wednesday, let’s have one virtually! How: 1) Put a crown on a statue or picture of Mary or color a May Crowning picture and display it in your house the month of May. Two possible coloring sheets are provided below. 2) Take a picture of your finished creation for our virtual crowning. When: Wednesday, May 6 post a picture of how you crowned Mary to the school’s hall time video on Facebook. www.facebook.com/JPIIHRCS/ Non-Facebookers can email pictures to faithform@holyrosaryschoolif.org if you would like them included in the post. Why: May Crowning is an ancient tradition in which a crown or wreath of flowers is placed on the head of a Marian statue to honor her as our Queen Mother. More on this next week!

![]() Written by Alicia Johnson We are excited to announce we are planning on having a Drive-by Wave Parade! We plan on doing this Tuesday April 21 from 4:45-6:00 p.m. down 9th Street in front of the school. You will see a staff member on each side of the sidewalk waving at you and your children. Each class has been assigned a specific time to come so we can keep all traffic flowing and we do not cause a traffic jam.
Please abide by the following rules:

We ALL look forward to seeing our Holy Rosary Families and students! ![]() Written by Leona Kelly At Holy Rosary School, we strive to develop well-rounded students that will contribute to the strength and intelligence of our community. To that end, each month one grade level takes a turn leading a school-wide service project based on the 7 corporal works of mercy: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, and bury the dead. “The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor.” – Catechism of the Catholic Church #2247 Holy Rosary School's first grade class is leading our school-wide service project providing drinks for the thirsty. Our hearts have been going out to all of the amazing healthcare workers at the hospitals who take such good care of people day and night and who are preparing to care for people with COVID-19. To support our local healthcare workers in the work that they do, including the mission of our corporal work of mercy, giving drinks to the thirsty, all funds collected will be donated to the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund and the Mountain View Charity. These funds are a source of support for healthcare workers and our community when they face unexpected hardships. To contribute to our fundraiser, visit gf.me/u/xusd5q |
