Reopening Plan Q/A - 4

What should I prepare for my child to bring (and not bring) to school with them at the beginning of the school year?

Today's question covers the topic of what do families need to prepare to bring with their students to school on a daily basis. With all of the changes being made, we wanted to clarify the "do's" and "do not's" of what to bring into the school each day. Our hope at HRCS is that we can assist parents with this transition and shift your mindset of what the beginning of the school year typically entails. We know it's been a LOT of new information! We are hoping that the far fewer list of items that students need to bring each day will help with stress levels of getting out the door and to school on time. We want to make the 2020-21 school year a positive one for all families!
DO BRING:
- lunch from home (or hot lunch will, of course, still be available for those students that wish to choose that!)
- coat or jacket, depending on weather
- a positive, G.R.E.A.T. attitude!

DO NOT BRING:
- backpacks or bookbags
- snacks (daily snack will now be provided by HRCS and distributed in each classroom during their scheduled snack time)
- toys or personal belongings from home
- personal masks (these will be provided for all students by the school...sanitization and cleaning will also be performed by HRCS
- water bottle (these will be provided for all students by the school...sanitization and cleaning will also be performed by HRCS
- change of uniform clothes (this will be discussed more in our Back to School Night post, but you will need to bring a change of clothes to be kept at the school for your child on BTS night next week)

We will continue to update everyone on any changes or additions to these lists before the start of school. For questions regarding any specifics or clarification of certain items, you are encouraged to email Mrs. Van Pelt at principal@holyrosaryschoolif.org
